An aspiring athlete who couldn’t quite make it in any sports so he invented one himself and challenged anyone to beat him at his own game. Duck Man emerged and took him up on the challenge which was live streamed across the globe. After going viral and receiving lots of attention afterward, Macho was thrust into the spotlight and would eventually sell the license for his sport to a giant corporation that goes on to turn it into a household name / every-day brand.
This guy literally doesn’t care what anyone thinks about him. He likes his lifestyle and that’s how he’s going to try and keep it. He fights for the passion of the act itself and could not care less about money and fame. During the off-season he will just stay at his cabin in the Canadian woods and practice fighting along with other hobbies like building things out of wood. He can become a bear on command but seldom uses it unless he is in immediate danger or in a competition.
His actual origins are mysterious and he is one of a kind in our world. He comes from another dimension and is half man, half duck. He has a tweaky/spastic personality, moves really fast, and has the ability to fly. He’s worn a diaper since being a chick and is content with keeping it that way. Rather than migrating to a geographical location, Duck Man migrates to his home dimension during the off-season. He has trained at Hatchet’s cabin and is a Canadian citizen.
Working as a stunt double at the time of Macho’s taking off, she wondered if her acrobatic ability would help in that kind of setting. She had already learned how to move about with bracing impact in mind so she figured with reckless abandon she has a chance to be the best in the world. She had worked on a movie with two prop pistols that were bestowed upon her after production. Realizing she would need a weapon, she modified them to function as real guns and joined the league.
He worked through his entire childhood to become a basketball superstar. When he suffered a career-ending injury in college he dropped out to became a nightclub bouncer. As the new sport of Macho became more popular he couldn’t work a single shift without hearing about it. Someone suggests that maybe he should try since his knees would work fine in the simulation. He soon realizes he made the right move and is the best athlete he ever could have possibly been.
When it comes to being mysterious, Glenn McKay takes the cake. A very out-there individual who fellow fighters leave space when together for a promotional event or competition. Seems to be almost too comfortable in the battle arena, as though hacking, slashing, and burning is a part of their real life. Has a giant garage with heavy tools including a furnace for crafting but rumors have suggested it actually serves a much more sinister purpose.
The sport of Macho is relatively new and exciting for citizens of Earth in modern times. Starting out as a special event it quickly blew up into a phenomenon with massive amounts of supporters and enthusiasm. People were fascinated by the amount of skill required by fighters and their ability to fight to the death without it’s ultimate consequences. It’s new technology involved computer simulation featuring realism like never before which really captivated the masses. Love it or hate it, everyone seemed to have an opinion on Macho.
